To determine if a person needs CPR, you will need to find out if the person if unconcious and unresponsive, meaning the person's heart is not beating. Can you find her or his pulse?
How can you find a person's pulse: Place 2 fingers under the side of the person's chin. OR place fingers on her or his wrist. Litsen for a beating.
Steps of CPR for an adult:
1)Check if scene is safe to enter.
2)Tap person gently on SHOULDERS, and try and wake them by yelling their name. While doing so, look for their stomach rising up and down.
3)If person is unresponsive, call 911.
4)Start CPR for adult
